I am also working on Christmas gifts and will be sharing those after the first of the new year.
I will also be sharing some "school spirit" things with you very soon. My daughter made the high school soccer team and with it be a winter sport (opposed cross country, which my son runs, and is during our hottest months here) it will be cold. So, I was thinking a scarf, hat and maybe a blanket would be in order. Go Eagles!

I you like to thank you for the lovely pattern. Should be a fast crochet blanket to make for babies born in the warmer months. And who couldn't use a quick blanket pattern to use for one of many baby shower projects. Your the best. Thanks ever so much. :)

ReplyDeleteI love this pattern, but I am VERY new to crochet.... do you just tie off at the end and grab the next color?
ReplyDeleteYes, I just knot the end, leaving about 2-3 inches of a yarn tail, and start a new color. Then I just weave the ends in.

ReplyDeleteHi I love the blanket and thought I would put my two cents in I would knot off at the end of the row and then add my new color and then take the yarn end you just knotted and pull it up to the back of the stitch I am about to crochet into and crochet over the knotted end this will keep you from having to weave in the ends. I hate doing that and you cannot see the color makes it a lot easier.

ReplyDeleteI have made 5 of these beautiful baby rugs. I used Panda Magnum Soft yarn in pale colours with either white or cream every second row. They have all turned our gorgeous and so soft. I think Ive liked the cream a little better than the white.
