Yes, these have been sitting by my computer for exactly 3 months. I have looked at them everyday, loving them and waiting to hang them up. Well, Christmas decorations were down and today was the Big Day.
I used a length of white cotton yarn and a yarn needle to stitched through the back of each granny square. I like the way a thin yarn or string looks, rather than a thicker crocheted one. To me, it really makes the granny squares stand out better.
To create these little granny squares I followed the basic pattern but made these changes: I crocheted two half double crochets in each space instead of three double crochets, started each one with a magic ring and crocheted tighter stitches. I used Lily Sugar and Cream cotton yarn and a 5.5 hook.
